MSF Ltd – National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework
Client: Mason Street Furniture
Following a successful bid, Mason Street Furniture were awarded a place on the National Highways Scheme Delivery Framework. While it represents an excellent milestone, frameworks can drastically increase workload on all parts of the business.
Recognising the additional pressure that comes with framework delivery, MSF Ltd reached out to us for assistance with their project management within Area 3, Area 4, and Area 5 with an option to assist on schemes in Areas 6 and 8.
Needless to say, we were more than willing to step in and take some of the pressure off.

Integrated Project Management
Demonstrating our ability to adapt to any situation we have directly integrated with MSFs existing systems and processes while maintaining operational freedom to plan and manage projects and retain control over quality management processes and team resiliance.
To ensure a smooth transition from start to finish we oversee all aspects of awarded framework projects, from initial commercial buildability through to delivery and all the way to handover and commercial close-out.
Where there are changes to the critical path or scope, we action commercial procedures within the contract framework early, to ensure compensation events and programme changes are quantified in detail to improve commercial acceptance.
With us on their side MSF are sure their projects are being delivered on time and on target.
Road Space Management
Working on the Strategic Road Network brings its own set of complications. The most prominent is road space availability.
Unlike Local Highway Authorities which have a glut of primary, secondary and tertiary options for diverting traffic, National Highways only controls the Strategic Network. This often means negotiations with local councils, who also have their own maintenance programmes to complete, for scarce access to diversion routes.
This scarcity is compounded by the fact that other contractors and stakeholders are also looking to carry out works on the SRN and local roads to uphold their programmes of work and duties.
